Revelo: portraits that keep your notes inside

What is Revelo?

Revelo is a digital art tool that turns a photo into a portrait made of letters and hides your loved ones' notes among those letters. From a distance, it's simply a portrait; up close, the sentences written between the letters can be read. You print the file and paint the marked squares yourself, and the portrait appears as you paint.

Why we made it

The gifts people keep longest usually carry words. But words tend to stay on a card or in a message and are forgotten in a few days. We built Revelo to turn what people want to say into something that hangs on a wall for years. Because the notes are hidden, the artwork is a portrait anyone can look at, while what's inside belongs to whoever chooses to read it.

How it works

1. Upload a photo. The editor removes the background; you choose the framing and the print size.
2. Add the notes. Write your own, pick from ready-made note packs, or collect them from loved ones with one link.
3. The notes are hidden among the letters. Before paying, you see the painted version and how it looks on a wall.
4. Print and paint. Your files arrive in your account right after payment.

Design your own portrait

What we do, and what we don't

• We deliver digital files: the print file, a painted preview, note cards and a private gift page where the notes are read.
• We don't print, frame or ship at the moment; you print the file yourself.
• Everything is designed by you in the editor: the photo, the notes, the size and the look.
• The site is available in English and Turkish.

Memorial works

The Revelo team also creates free memorial artworks for women who lost their lives to violence, where the letters of the portrait carry names that deserve to be remembered. You can see them on the collections page.
